This one-day pre-conference event, is organized by the World Bank, in advance of the UN LDC-IV Conference in Istanbul in May 2011.

There are several high level dialogues in 2010 and 2011 related to global financial, trade, and development issues. These include the High Level Summit on the MDGs in September 2010, G20 Summit in Seoul in November 2010, and UN LDC-IV Conference in Istanbul in May 2011. Together, these events provide an important opportunity -- in the post-crisis environment – to inform priorities and coordination going forward on trade and development. The UN Conference, in particular, presents a unique opportunity to review priorities in the global aid for trade agenda as they relate to trade facilitation and competitiveness in the LDC’s, specifically.
